Aherusia have been around since the late 90s, but only properly debuted a decade later. Their first couple of albums have been warmly received by the fans almost unanimously, but it’s their album, the forthcoming “Prometheus” an ambitious and quite profound concept based on the myth of the eponymous titan, that might actually be their finest hour yet as they take a bold step forward streamlining their sound while maintaining it’s core characteristics and general aesthetics. Recorded live in the studio, Prometheus sounds extremely lively and pulsating and its lyrics written in common Hellenistic script lend the verses an authentic aura of antiquity.
With this release Aherusia challenge the primacy of bands like Rotting Christ and Septic Flesh, delivering a piece of work that can artistically rival their highest achievements.
